The social and physical barriers set up in society prevent differently-abled people from rising above and living up to their full potential. Allcargo becomes a ray of hope for such people. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per census 2011,\naround 2.21% of India\u2019s population is differently-abled, which means that there\nare a little over 2 crore people in our country who are living with some form of\nphysical or mental handicap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With such a large\npopulation with special needs, it\u2019s important to understand why they\u2019re still a\nminority group desperately in need of uplifting. The fact that they require\nspecial care which may require more finances, leave most families in despair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allcargo with an\nobjective to raise the quality of life of the mentally & Physically\nchallenged children despite of caste and religion, creating an environment\nconducive to their inclusive growth in a holistic manner, physically, mentally\nand spiritually, with an aim enable them as far as possible to become self-\nreliant and fit in within main stream of society,  has adopted a holistic approach for each and\nevery segment in the society to empower them and given opportunity to stand\nup.  Allcargo joined hands with Vijetha\nspecial school in Karkala, Udupi in Karnataka state to reach to the specially\nabled children to make them abled with various interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vijetha Special School is a rehabilitation center for children with physical and mental disabilities, in the state of Karnataka. The major activities of the foundation are physiotherapy and special education. These are implemented by trained physiotherapists and special educators with the help of assistant teachers and supporting staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children with disabilities are identified through evaluation and assessment using various tools. Most of the mentally challenged people are from the age group of 5 to 40 years. Allcargo helps the school in providing education food and shelter, clothing and necessary medical treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
