Affordable housing is the key to bringing marginalized communities into the social and economic mainstream<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avashya Foundation has taken a proactive lead in constructing 17\nhouses for underprivileged communities. Out of these, 14 houses were handed\nover in Dhamani, Sangtoli, and Shivansai villages in Panvel block of Raigad\ndistrict in Maharashtra to 13 female beneficiaries from women-headed households\nand 4 male beneficiaries who are senior citizens with disabilities. The houses\nwere gifted to the deserving beneficiaries on the occasion of the&nbsp;birthday&nbsp;of&nbsp;Vaishnav&nbsp;Shetty, son of Mr.\nand Mrs. Shetty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is part\nof Avashya Foundation&#8217;s mission and vision to empower weaker sections of the\nsociety and transform their lives through access to better housing amenities.\nThe housing project was a brainchild of Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and\nChairman, Allcargo Logistics. An ardent advocate and keen proponent of\nfostering community empowerment at the lowest strata of society, Mr. Shetty has\nsteadfastly believed that affordable housing is the key to bringing\nmarginalized communities into the social and economic mainstream.
