It had adversely impacted the blind community. It is one\nof the most marginalized communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was strict\nimplementation of social distancing, as one of the safety measures to prevent\nthe spread of Covid-19, hence people were reluctant to come forward and help\nthe visually impaired in even escorting them as they did earlier.&nbsp; Due to\ncomplete lockdown, they had even lost their only source of income, which was hawking\nof small items at railway stations, in trains or even bus stops. The trains\nwere not functional and buses were running only for emergency and essential\nservices departments, that too on displaying of Id cards or passes issued to\nthem.
