The initiative was implemented by Avashya Foundation in collaboration with Allcargo Terminals Ltd., in 2026 with the objective of strengthening foundational literacy and promoting a culture of reading among students. The program was graced by the Teachers, local representatives -Sarpanch and school authorities as well as dignitaries from Allcargo Group. During the event, the dignitaries highlighted the transformative power of reading in building knowledge, confidence, and future aspirations among young learners.
Allcargo Group has established libraries in 34 out of 54 Zilla Parishad schools in Uran (over 60% coverage) and has set a target to support all schools i.e 100% in the block to ensure universal access to library facilities. The library was formally launched through a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the handover of books to the school. The initiative is expected to serve as a knowledge hub, encouraging curiosity and lifelong learning among students.
